Last year, thousands of people stepped forward to offer their time and skills to support NHS England’s COVID-19 vaccination campaign. Because of them we were able to roll out primary vaccinations to millions, saving thousands of lives and making the connections we value possible once more.
With the emergence of the Omicron variant, the vaccination programme was ramped up further. But while millions of booster vaccinations have already been administered, there's still much work to done. So join us now and you too could play a crucial role in protecting the connections that matter to us all. We are fully committed to providing the widest opportunities for skilled training and development as soon as you join the vaccine programme. Many people who are part of the programme have now begun a new career in the NHS across a huge variety of roles-over 11,500 people have stayed with us in paid jobs or training programmes.
Here’s your chance to oversee a dynamic team responsible for delivering safe and effective COVID-19 vaccination and booster services. We will look to you to ensure all vaccination stations are configured correctly and that safe vaccine administration is followed.
Within these stations, you’ll be supervising the clinical assessment and consent of people prior to their injection, overseeing the work of several vaccinators, as well as supporting assessments in cases where there’s a complex medical history or the potential for an adverse reaction, offering specialist advice as needed. It will also be your responsibility to supervise the reconstitution and drawing up of vaccines, ensuring each activity is recorded, as well as post-vaccination observations, responding to any emergencies as appropriate.
Who we are looking for
To succeed in this vital role, you will have demonstrable experience of clinical supervision and will have current registration (temporary registration also accepted) with one of the following:

Good communication and people skills are both essential, so too, is the ability to analyse and interpret information and issues, and recommend the best course of action.
