Job Introduction
Last year, thousands of people stepped forward to offer their time and skills to support NHS England’s Covid-19 vaccination campaign. Because of them we were able to roll out primary vaccinations to millions of people quickly, saving thousands of lives.
Now, with the emergence of the Omicron variant, the vaccination programme is being ramped up further. And we are once again recruiting thousands of paid roles to help us deliver booster vaccinations across England.
The role
Joining a dynamic team, you’ll be providing vital support services across the vaccination centre. That will include helping to set-up and maintain vaccination pods and all areas of the centre. You’ll also ensure vaccines and any essential equipment are readily available, and manage clinical waste across the site. We’ll also be relying on you to thoroughly and consistently sanitise all areas of the vaccination centre, including the post-vaccination observation area.
Who we are looking for
This role calls for self-motivated and committed individuals who are educated to GCSE level or equivalent. First Aid training is desirable. You’ll need to be a great team player with experience of working with members of the public. And you’ll be determined to play your part in ensuring the ongoing success of the national immunisation programme.
Where you’ll be working
We are looking for Healthcare Assistants across all regions in England. If your application is successful, you will be given the opportunity to work at one or several of the vaccination centres in your region.
